Photo Identification

Photo identification badges/security access are required to enter all vivaria. Photo ID badges must be visible at all times while personnel are inside any UCSD vivarium. Persons not wearing proper identification will be asked to leave.

All personnel requesting access must be listed on an approved animal protocol, submit a Personnel Qualifications form (P.Q.), and attend the Orientation to Animal Research course which is offered twice a month.

For more information regarding any of these requirements please see iacuc.ucsd.edu or call the Animal Welfare Program at x46069.

Badges are issued on a recharge basis for $15 per badge. Photos are taken every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the ACP Business Office.

Please fill out the Request for Security Access Card form and submit/print the form. Have your PI or supervisor sign it and bring the form with you to get your photo.

For information, contact extension 44262.
