Animals that are used by investigators for research or education at UCSD and that come from commercial, preapproved sources, must be ordered through the Campus Laboratory Animal Acquisitions Coordinator (CLAAC). For animals requiring special care or housing, arrangements must be made prior to placement of the order. Animals from these sources are ordered by logging on to the Animal Acquisitions menu and completing the Request to purchase animals from Approved Vendor request.
